WHAT IS PUTTING FOR PATRIOTS?
Putting for Patriots is an established annual fund raising event, which supports three pre-screened charities that as a group efficiently serve our wounded, their families and the survivors of fallen military members. This event takes place each May, culminating on Memorial Day weekend. Our program is specifically tailored for golf courses and miniature golf courses.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Putting for Patriots is easy to execute for both Public and Private Courses: 

• From mid-May through Memorial Day weekend, encourage your customers to add $1.00 to their round of golf and/or retail/food/beverage purchases.  These proceeds (100%) will go directly to our recommended charities. 
• For Private Golf Courses/Country Clubs:  Encourage your customers to add $1.00 to their retail, food and beverage purchases--  at your Pro Shop, Snack Bar, Beverage Carts or Bar. 
• At the end of the two to three week period, collect the credit card and cash donations, split them three ways and send a check directly to each of the three charities.

EVENT HISTORY/RESULTS: Since 2007, each year 34 businesses have participated in our program. To date we have raised $93,673 for our selected charities.

WHY SHOULD YOUR GOLF COURSE GET INVOLVED?

• Since the beginning of the “War on Terror”, we have lost over 5,400 Soldiers and Marines; over 37,000 have been wounded in Iraq, Afghanistan and the surrounding theatres of operation. 
• While a wounded Soldier or Marine’s medical care is taken care of by the government, often there are gigantic hidden costs or gaps in care not covered by the military or any government program.  These costs can zap the financial life out of young, struggling military families.
• By joining our effort, your golf course will help provide much-needed revenue for a select group of excellent charities, which effectively help fill these gaps in care.  
• Putting for Patriots is an easy-to-run, patriotic event that will serve as an excellent goodwill gesture for your golf course over the Memorial Day holiday.
